What are the challenges or pressures faced by Canadian families who choose to homeschool their children? Why might parents choose to teach their children at home, and what are the benefits or concerns? Listen as Peter Stock discusses his work with the Home School Legal Defence Association of Canada.

As fellow (former) homeschooling parents, Barry and Peter share their personal experiences, along with commentary on the legal and administrative context that can pose difficulties for families. For instance, Peter explains how the Supreme Court decision in Loyola (2015) affirmed the right to home education in Quebec. Watch the full conversation to learn how the Quebec government is still trying to limit parental choice since that decision.
