Frontline nurse Michelle Roberts shares her experience of being let go by the City of Toronto because she did not take the Covid-19 Vaccine. Hers is but one anecdote of countless others during the Pandemic. It is worth listening to stories like Michelle’s because one may more greatly appreciate the suffering that so many faced. Given what now we know it truly causes us to wonder why? Why, when the healthcare was already so strained that qualified, dedicated people, like Michelle, were discarded. It is something that we must wrestle with going forward as we try to make sense of what happened and how we may get through it.
