Respecting One Another: Conscience and the Freedom 2022 Trucker’s Convoy

by

Describing his weekend in Ottawa to witness the Freedom 2022 Trucker’s Convoy firsthand, Dr. Bussey explains how and why it’s important to look through the lens of those who have a different view than ourselves.

Historically, Canada has accommodated conscientious beliefs as a matter of individual freedom protected in the Charter. What looks like a simple choice for some could be a much deeper issue of identity for others. As Martin Luther declared, “to go against conscience is neither right nor safe.”

Recognizing that we will not all agree, Barry urges respect as we allow each other to make our voices heard.
