Rebecca Vachon recently wrote an op-ed on the importance of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia taking seriously the conscientious objection of doctors and Dalhousie medical students forcing physicians to make “effective referrals” for procedures that violate their consciences – like medical assistance in dying (MAID). This, Rebecca maintains will have long lasting negative consequences on healthcare in the province. Conscientious objectors in healthcare will leave the province.
Barry interviewed Rebecca on her piece and the issue that is cause concern throughout the country.
